About Us

SOUTHBEL is dedicated to supporting and empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Belize. MSMEs form the backbone of the national economy, representing approximately 90% of all businesses and employing nearly half of Belize’s workforce. They generate over 70% of private sector jobs and play a crucial role in driving national development and economic stability.

Despite their importance, many MSMEs struggle to reach their full potential due to limited access to financing, regulatory hurdles, marketing challenges, and increasing competition. SOUTHBEL was founded to bridge these gaps and provide the support entrepreneurs need to thrive.

Our Purpose

SOUTHBEL exists to serve as a catalyst for MSME growth, development, and sustainability. We work directly with entrepreneurs—especially women, rural business owners, and underserved groups—to ensure they have the tools, knowledge, and market access necessary to succeed.
